I made this 1:70-scale Giganotosaurus miniature for a practice to see how small miniature figures is possible to sculpt. I am making a "Morrison formation fauna"-miniature diorama, which includes animal and plants from famous jurassic Morrison formation and it is better now to train and specify sculpting skills in this scale figures, than to start from scratch and finishing the whole piece, which would end horribly or later find details which could be done better.
The wrinkles in this one are too prominent, making the skin look too much elephant-like and some sculpting tool strokes , especilly on the head are too sharp and looks unfinished.
This is made from Super Sculpey on iron wire armature.
Note: This is a practice piece, not an scientifically accurate model.
